Cheeky, thong, bandeau — what the cuts actually mean

Swim cuts have their own language and the labels aren't always obvious. Here's a plain-English guide to the styles we cut — so you can pick by the look you want, not by guessing at a tag.
Bandeau
Strapless tube top across the bust, no straps to break a tan line. Reads clean and minimal. Best for lounging and rooftops; not the move if you're planning to swim hard or hit a wave.
Bralette
Triangle or scoop-front top on thin straps. The most versatile cut we make — works with everything, holds its place in the water, throws on under a slip skirt or low-rise linen pants for a beach-bar fit.
Plunge one-piece
Deep neckline, open back. Reads dressed-up without trying — it's the one-piece you wear with gold hoops and a cocktail, not the one you wear to swim laps. Pairs equally well with a wrap skirt for the walk home.
Cheeky brazilian
Mid-coverage at the back — sits between full and thong. Most flattering cut for almost everyone; the seat lifts without disappearing. Our most-asked-for bottom for a reason.
Thong
Bare back, thin band at the hip. The cut to wear when the look matters as much as the swim — boat days, pool parties, beach clubs. Pair with a high-cut top for balance or a bandeau if you want everything to read clean.
How to pick
Pick the bottom first — it sets the whole silhouette. Cheeky for daily, thong for the look, full for active. Then pair the top to either match (clean) or contrast (more editorial). Our size guide walks through measuring; mixing sizes between top and bottom is normal and we encourage it.
The vibe check
None of these cuts is more or less serious than another. Pick the one that matches what you're going to feel best moving in. The right cut feels like nothing.
